All the heroines in tinsel town are dying to work with the hot and happening Karthi, and they were all considered for the female lead in Saguni. But Shriya Saran is the lucky lady who has landed the part. She is pleased to be sharing screen space with a livewire like Karthi. Kannada babe Praneetha, who will be seen in Arulnidhi’s Udayan is also being considered for a part in Saguni. Apparently, Saguni is a two-heroine project.
Being directed by newcomer Shankar Dayal, and produced by Dream Warrior Projects with music by GV Prakash Kumar, Saguni is touted to be a racy political drama with twists and turns designed to keep the audience guessing. Radhika Sarathkumar will be seen on the big screen in a meaty role after a long time.

This movie will be the first political satire for Karthi, in which the actor plays a role filled with suspense. Only the climax will allow the viewers to know the real face of Karthi’s character.
Since Karthi topped the box-office charts during Pongal with ‘Siruthai’, he wants to continue the good show during the end of the year too. So the film will hit the screens for Deepavali, we learn.
The actor, who will tie the knot in July, will finish ‘Saguni’ shoot in one go. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the movie directed by debutant Shankar Dayal N will have music by G V Prakash Kumar.

Karthi Sivakumar, the rough and tough hero of Paruthi Veeran, is riding high after the success of Naan Mahaan Alla and Siruthai.
Now we hear that the actor has recently signed his next flick to be directed by Sankar Dayal, a former associate to Ezhil and S.D. Saba.
According to sources, this political entertainer is tentatively titled Saguni. Dream Warriors will produce this action flick and music director G.V. Prakash will compose its tunes.
Saguni is expected to go on floors in mid April! More details are awaited!
