After the super hit of his Paiyaa, which grossed Rs. 12 crores in the first three days and was declared a commercial success within a few days, popular Tamil director Lingusamy of super hit Run, Ji, Sandakozhi and Bheema fame is now gearing up to commence the production of his seventh directorial venture, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
In a recent interview with a leading movie portal, Lingusamy confirmed:
"It will be a bilingual with Silambarasan in the Tamil version and Mahesh Babu in the Telugu version. Dhayanidhi Alagiri will be the producer of the Tamil version, while Tirupati Prasad of Mega Supergood Films will produce the Telugu version. The Tamil version will start rolling in July after Simbu completes the first schedule of Poda Podi, while the Telugu version will commence by September," the director was quoted as saying. Currently, the director is busy completing the script.

Riding high on the success of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Simbu is all geared up for his next film with Cloud Nine productions.
Hariharan Gajendran, one of Simbu’s biggest fan club administrators, sent some pictures of the actor taken at Macau, where the shooting of the movie is underway. According to Hariharan, it looks like Simbu plays an NCC cadet in this romantic, action packed entertainer set in a college.
The movie is directed by Lingusamy, with camera by Nirav Shah, editing by Anthony and music by Yuvanshankar Raja. The heroine of the film is yet to be finalised
Simbu's Podaa Podi with Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, which will start some time in September, is expected to be shot in and around London.
Simbu's pet project Vaaliban is expected to take off after the completion of these two films.
