A film which will bring together Vikram and director Suseendran has been titled ‘Raja Pattai’. Reports claimed earlier that the project was named ‘Vendhan’ and Vikram would be seen playing a double role.
Now, sources in the know deny the claims and say, “The film’s name is not ‘Vendhan’, but ‘Raja Pattai’ and Vikram is playing only one role. Suseendran is all ready to commence the shooting.”
The project is expected to go on floors on June 6 and initially it will be shot in and around Chennai. “Only after a 60-day schedule in the city, ‘Raja Pattai’ crew will leave for other locales.”
While Deeksha Seth plays the female lead in the film, veteran Tollywood director-actor K Viswanath has an important role. The music will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and this is first time for Yuvan to work for a Vikram-starrer.

Vikram is starting his next film with Suseenthiran for producer Kanakaratna Ramesh. Vikram’s Vendhan with Suseendran is all set to go on the floors from June 7th. His leading ladies are Kannada babe, Dheeksha Seth and Mithra Kurien who was seen in Kavalan. The USP in this film is that we will be getting twice as much as Vikram!
The National award winner has a double role in this flick, and that is a first for him. Word is that he will be playing both father and son in this action film.
Sarathkumar is something of a specialist in this particular kind of double role, having notched up hits like Suryavamsam, Natpukaga, and Nattamai to name a few. Perhaps Vikram is all set to follow in his footsteps.

Now that he has completed shooting for ‘Deiva Thirumagan’, Vikram is ready to move on to his next project, to be directed by Suseendran of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ and ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ fame.
The film is said to be a complete commercial entertainer to ‘satisfy’ Vikram fans, who are longing to see the Cheeyan doing all heroisms. And two actresses have been roped in as heroines as of now.
They are popular Tollywood heroine Deeksha Seth (of ‘Vedam’ and ‘Mirapakay’ fame) and Malayalam actress Mithra Kurian, who was seen playing Asin’s close friend in Vijay’s ‘Kavalan’ recently.
“The yet-to-bet-titled project will go on floors soon. A quickie, the film will hit the screens within the end of this year, perhaps for Deepavali. Suseendran, who has completed ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai’, is eagerly looking forward to work with Vikram,” sources say.

After sharing the spot light along with Abishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai for his scintillating performances in ‘Raavanan’, Cheeyan Vikram is back at work in Chennai.
While waiting for the accolades Vikram is also preparing for his new film with director Boopathy Pandian. The new Cheeyan film is now titled ‘Vedi’ and appropriately Vikram will explode as a police officer a la ‘Samy’.
This Mohan Natarajan production is about an intelligent investigative police officer, who wins the baddies with brain and brawn. Boopathy Pandian is known for pacy films that cater to the masses and with an equally peppy actor in Vikram ‘Vedi’ will explode at the box office.
Ileana plays the heroine to Vikram and the producer plans to dub and release the film simultaneously in Telugu also. As an advantage to that Tollywood comedian Brahmanandam and Kota Sreenivasa Rao play pivotal roles. Actor Aadhi’s father and a popular Telugu director Ravi Raja is also getting introduced as a villain giving company to Kota. More over Devi Sri Prasad, who is equally popular in Tamil and Telugu is scoring the music.
The first schedule of ‘Vedi’ is starting in the second week of June after Vikram comes out of the magic charm of ‘Raavanan’.
