The bubbly Hansika Motwani is not feeling well for the past few days, even as her second Tamil movie ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ is releasing all over the world in a big way today.

“I am suffering from fever for the past few days. The reason could perhaps be the release of ‘Engeyum Kadhal’, as I am expecting a lot out of the film. It’s my best performance till date,” she says.

Hansika plays Lolita in ‘Engeyum Kadhal’, a girl of Indian origin who was born and brought up in Paris, the capital city of France. “It is an interesting character and I have got enough scope to perform,” she says.

Describing director Prabhu Deva as her elder brother, the actress says she would call her co-star ‘Jayam’ Ravi as Gem Ravi. “Both are nice persons and were very co-operative on the sets,” she recalls.

Hansika Motwani has found a new friend and she is all smiles about it. “He is the sweetest friend I have ever had,” says the actress on Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay, with whom she is sharing the screen space in ‘Velayudham’.

“We are having a great time on the sets of ‘Velayudham’ directed by ‘Jayam’ Raja. Vijay is very co-operative and so down-to-earth,” says the actress, who is expecting three big releases in Kollywood.

Apart from ‘Velayudham’, her forthcoming movies in Tamil include the Dhanush-starrer ‘Maappillai’ and ‘Jayam’ Ravi-starrer ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ (both to be released by market leader Sun Pictures).

“It is not easy for a budding actress to bag three meaty offers even before her first release. In that case, I consider myself very lucky,” says the chirpy girl, who is a name to reckon with in Tollywood and Bollywood.

Hansika without any release in Tamil cinema is the hottest heroine in the southern circuit. In Telugu, she is rocking and has just signed her third film with Siddharth. Dil Raju is producing the film, a triangular love story where she will share screen space with Shruthi Haasan.

Meanwhile Hansika is still waiting for that huge splash in Kollywood with a line of releases this year. Industry watchers are predicting that she is the next big thing, as every top banner and hero is after her dates.

Her debut film in Tamil, Prabhu Deva directed Engeyum Kadhal will be followed immediately by Mappillai in April. And in June/July her big budget Velayudham will be released. Hansika is all smiles as she has completed the talkie portion of this big-budget Vijay starrer. Sources close to the unit say that Ilayathalapaythy himself was awe-struck by her confidence, dedication and dancing abilities.

Hansika will start the shoot of her Rajesh directed Oru Kal Oru Kanaadi (OKOK), a comedy entertainer opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin on March 20. Hanska is an achiever in her own right at such a young age. She is so sure of herself and believes that she has miles to go but is here to stay.
Heroine Hansika, who appeared in a number of Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada films, will act in the sequel of Bollywood blockbuster Murder, which starred Mallika Sherawat in a sizzling and romantic role.

Hansika would romance Emraan Hasmi in the sequel, titled Murder 2. However, an official announcement is yet to be made. Notably, this is not the first time Hansika is acting in a Bollywood film. Earlier, she acted in Aap Ka Surror and Money Hai Toh Honey Hai.

Hansika is currently working for two Telugu films: Ram starrer Kandireega and Nara Rohit's untitled film, directed by Prakash Tholethi. Her ongoing Tamil films are Engeyum Kaadhal opposite Jayam Ravi, Mappillai opposite Dhanush and Velayudham opposite Vijay. She was recently signed as heroine for Oru Kal Oru Kannadi opposite Karunanidhi's grandson Udayanidhi Stalin in his debut role as hero.

As already reported, Udhayanidhi is all set to become an actor. Director Rajesh of Shiva Manasula Shakthi fame will direct Udhayanidhi's debut film Nanbeda, which is expected to be a romantic comedy. This film will go on floors soon and Santhanam will play a prominent role in the film. Nirav Shah will handle the camera and Harris Jayaraj will compose music; the rest of the crew is yet to be finalized.

The latest buzz is that teenage sensation Hansika Motwani has been signed to play the female lead in the film. According to the director, the story required a North Indian looking girl and they thought that Hansika would be an apt choice.
