Popular Tamil actor Jiiva, currently basking the success of his recent political thriller Ko (dubbed in Telugu as Rangam), will soon act in a direct Telugu film.
The actor confirmed this through Twitter stating: "Good news. I will be doing a direct Telugu film." Reportedly Jiiva has already started his preparations and is currently learning Telugu.
One of the busiest actors in Tamil, Jiiva has hand full of projects at the moment, with Nanban by Shankar, Mugamoodi by Mysskin and two forthcoming films with Gautham Menon and S.P. Jananathan.

Narain has been signed to do the 'bad man' in Jiiva's Mysskin directed Mughamoodi. The film is about super hero played by Jiivaa and is strongly rumoured to be on similar lines like Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.
The buzz is that Jiiva will play the super hero, while Narain would be an equal and strong foil to him by playing the 'Joker'. Mysskin in his first meeting with Jiiva told him that unless the bad guy character is as strong as the super hero, the film will not work.
For Mughamoodi, Narain has started to attend special karate classes. He will also have a look which would be menacing. The pre-production on the film is going on in the full swing with shooting likely to start end August.
Mysskin is writing the script with equal footage for Jiiva and Narain. Narain has signed the film for his highest ever salary, as he is playing a negative character. The film will be a turning point in his career.

Jiiva is currently on cloud nine, as Ko has been a resounding success despite the efforts of miscreants who released pirated DVDs and uploaded the complete film online. Insiders are bowled over by the collections, the film has made. The actor has come in for a lot of praise for his polished portrayal of a photo journalist.
The rising star has three films lined up for release this year – Rowthiram, Vandhan Vendran, and Nanban. Work is almost done in his solo hero projects and everyone is waiting to see what he will do next. As always, we have the answers for you. Director SP Jananathan, who made the national award winning film, Iyarkai will be directing Jiiva.
The duo had worked together in Ee and is keen to do another film. When the director approached Jiiva with one of his powerful, innovative scripts set against the backdrop of the famous temple in Tanjavur, Jiiva was stoked and accepted at once. Hopefully, we have another national award winner in the making.
Shankar has revealed the first look of his Nanban in today's papers. It is a remake of Raju Hirani's blockbuster 3 Idiots. The film stars Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Satyaraj, SJ Suryah and Ileana.
Nanban is Shankar's first remake. However he was very particular that the look of the film should not be similar to 3 Idiots. Instead of the famous three idiots sitting on a potty ad, Shankar's three heroes are smiling with weird looking glasses and white lip gloss.
The only thing Shankar has taken from the original is the tag line: "All is well". Nanban has music by Harris Jayaraj and camera is by Manoj Paramahamsa. The film produced by Gemini Film Circuit is scheduled to release for Diwali 2011.

Today is the birthday of Jiiva, heart-throb of thousands of lovely lasses, son of well-known producer R.B. Chowdary of Super Good Films, and a safe bet for many film producers.
Jiiva's entry to films was as a child artiste. He got introduced as a hero in Aasai Aasayai and Thithikedhe produced under his family banner. His next film Raam with debut director Ameer won him best actor award at the Cyprus International Film Festival. His succeeding releases Dishyum, Aran and E further proved his versatility as a performer. In Katradhu Tamizh, his lonely Prabakar character who gets annoyed at society, even losing his loved one, fetched him great recognition. In Siva Manasula Sakthi Jiiva's role as a happy-go-lucky-youth was warmly welcomed by all.
He is currently busy with Vandaan Vendraan, Singam Puli, K.V. Anand's Ko, Rowthiram with Shriya Saran and Shakar's Tamil remake of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots. Jiiva also became the latest to join the dad bandwagon when his wife Supriya gave birth to a boy on October 14, 2010. Just turned 28, this lucky actor finds no time for celebration with his busy film schedules.
