For a weekly magazine, Hansika gave an interview in which she said that she has severed ties with Simbu. As denial to previous reports,
Hansika tweeted day before yesterday : - ‘Rumors about my personal life are making rounds. I need to clarify things. It is true that I am in love with Simbu. That is my personal matter. Others should not discuss my personal matter.’
Simbu tweeted in response: - ‘It is true I am romancing Hansika. Our parents would meet and decide regarding marriage. Our marriage would happen the next year.’
In a development, Hansika contacted press reporter and spoke: - ‘It is true that I and Simbu are romancing. But, our marriage would not be in the next year. Currently, I am concentrating on movies. I am into few movies. I have decided to do movies for some time. So, I would marry Simbu only after 5 years.’

The muhurat and shooting of Silambarasan’s next began this morning with much fanfare at the AVM Studios in Chennai at around 9:30 am. Meeting the press later, the film crew said that the film has been titled Osthi.
Osthi is the remake of the Hindi smash hit Dabangg which starred Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha. In the Tamil version, STR and Richa Gangopadhyay will essay the main roles. ‘Jithan’ Ramesh, Revathy, ‘Nizhalgal’ Ravi and several others are included in the star cast.
Dharani will direct this flick and Gopinath will handle the camera. Art direction is by Mani Raj and Thaman is the music director.
All eyes are on STR today, even as his ‘Vaanam’ is opening big. But the actor is not as tensed as one would expect him to be. Hoping good times for the mulistarrer at the box-office, he speaks about his future projects.
“Podaa Podi will be my next release. I will finish shooting for it soon. As far as ‘Vettai Mannan’ is concerned, shooting is taking place as scheduled and the film is shaping up well,” he says.
Confirming a longtime buzz, he says, “Yes, I am going to do ‘Dabangg’ remake. Dharani will direct the film and I am eagerly looking forward for the shoot, which is expected to start in June.”
On walking out of ‘Ko’, which hit the screens last week and doing extremely well, STR says, “It’s purely a professional decision and I am not worried about it. Because I have a winner like ‘Vaanam’ and the film will speak on behalf of me.”
Vaanam has been awarded with a U/A certificate and is ready for release. The Censor Board officials also muted some of the dialogues in the film. The movie will hit the screens on April 29th, 2011. Vaanam has created a lot of expectations as this film is a remake of the Telugu hit flick Vedam. Also, this is Silambarasan’s first release after the astounding success of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya last year.
Vaanam is directed by Krish, who had also directed the Telugu version. Anushka plays the female lead in this film. Sonia Agarwal, Bharath, Vega, Jasmine and others also share the screen space in this film.

Young Superstar STR's next release, after almost a year Vaanam gets ready for an April 9 release.
All eyes are on this remake of Vedam from Telugu. The entire team of STR, Yuvan Shankar Raja, director Krish (who did the original), producer VTV Ganesh, Actors Bharath, Anushka, Sonia and Saranya met the media on Monday evening.
There was so much of positive vibes, laughter and mutual admiration between the stars which was visible at the press meet, which slowly turned out to be an entertaining evening. And at the helm of it all was VTV Ganesh, the producer who charmed the media with his astute sense of humour, which had the media contingent in splits.
Yuvan Shankar Raja, normally a very reticent man was also in his elements as he confessed about his friendship with STR and remembered their journey together as a pleasant one. He said: "I have done all the songs in Vaanam with a lot of love and passion, the one thing that my dad always inculcated in me since I became a music director". STR with his unshaven look looked a happy man. He said: "I am so proud about Vaanam which has shaped out well and all the songs are outstanding. Krish has made Vaanam better than Vedam by correcting all the flaws in the original. We have perfect understanding and being a multistarrer, all the actors gave their 100 percent to the project". He did not forget to thank the media for all the support. Anushka, Soniya and Saranya also spoke about the film. A slick 3 minute teaser trailer was screened at the function.
Simbu is currently busy wrapping up Vaanam, which is almost complete and the music will be launched on March 14, 2011.
According to Vaanam's music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, all the songs in the film are peppy and will surely rock the charts. The story revolves around five people, who meet in the climax of the film due to unforeseen circumstances.
Vaanam also has Anushka, Bharath, Vega, Prakashraj, Sonia Agarwal, Jayaprakash and Ganesh in prominent roles. Earlier, a single song 'Evan Di Unna Pethan' from Vaanam was released in Chennai and was received well by the audience.
Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine Movies has tied up with VTV Productions and Magic Box Pictures for ‘Vaanam’, an upcoming multistarrer which has STR, Bharath, Anushka and Vega among others in lead roles.
A remake of Telugu hit ‘Vedam’, ‘Vaanam’ is directed by Krish, who helmed the original version too. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and a single number from the movie is already a hit among youngsters.
“It is of an immense pleasure to announce that we VTV productions and Magic Box pictures have associated with Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies for our ongoing project Vaanam,’ said a press release.
It added: “After the success of ‘Thoonga Nagaram’ Cloud Nine Movies are off to a very good start and this association has just taken the project to the next level with the caliber they have. It’s been a great pleasure to work with the huge star cast in the film.”
“The talkie portions of the film have been completed, after the massive hit of the single song that was already launched, a strategical promotional concept tried by us for the very first time in Tamil Industry, Yuvan has finished composing 4 more terrific songs. The audio release would happen very shortly,” the release further said.

In fact, producer Arbaaz has already received several lucrative offers for the same.
The latest buzz is that Kollywood producers Mohan Apparao and T. Ramesh have purchased the remake rights of Dabangg for a whopping amount, the highest ever paid for a remake. Sources say that they are in talks with Karthi and Simbu to play the role of Chulbul Pandey. But the grapevine has it that Simbu is likely to star in this comedy-action musical entertainer.

The much-expected ‘Vaanam’, a multistarrer which has STR, Bharath, Prakash Raj, Anushka, Sneha Ullal, Vega and Sonia Agarwal in lead roles, would hit the screens during the second week of February.
“The makers of the movie decided to release it in February because with Valentine’s Day round the corner, they hope that youngsters would throng theatres to watch this youth festival,” sources close to the unit say.
Produced by ‘VTV’ Ganesh, this Tamil remake of Telugu hit ‘Vedam’ is directed by Krish, who wielded the megaphone for the original too. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, STR’s lucky mascot.

Silambarasan has managed to rope in his good friend Jai to play a pivotal role in his forthcoming venture 'Vettai Mannan', which is directed by newcomer Nelson.
"Simbu's friendship with Jai dates back to more than a decade and he offered him a role in his earlier venture ‘Alai’ itself. But things didn't work out at that time. Both are coming together now," sources say.
Saying that the role to be played by Jai in 'Vettai Mannan' will be loaded with action, sources add: "The actor is a regular to gym these days to equip himself for the character. You will get to see a different Jai in Vettai Mannan." a In the meantime, Jai is all thrilled about the release of 'Kanimozhi' tomorrow. "Debutant director Sripathy Rangasamy has shaped up the film in a gripping manner. I am counting hours for the movie's release," says the actor.

Silambarasan, after the astounding success of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, is busy with several prestigious projects. Sources in Kollywood report that the actor is unusually quiet these days and is not seen mingling with the group of friends with whom he frequents various coffee shops and pubs in the city. Silambarasan, however, does not fail to make it to the premières and film shows held.
Sources close to the actor say that the actor is probably working on a project that requires a lot of time and concentration and this could be the reason.
After the super hit of his Paiyaa, popular Tamil director Lingusamy is now gearing up to commence production of his seventh directorial venture, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
In a recent interview, Lingusamy confirmed: "It will be a bilingual with Silambarasan in the Tamil version and Mahesh Babu in the Telugu version. Dhayanidhi Alagiri will be the producer of the Tamil version, while Tirupati Prasad of Mega Supergood Films will produce the Telugu version. The Tamil version will start rolling in July after Simbu completes the first schedule of Poda Podi, while the Telugu version will commence by September." Currently, the director is busy completing the script.
Meanwhile the latest buzz is that the director has roped in Madhavan to play a prominent role (as Simbu's brother) in the film. An official confirmation is expected soon!

This is going to be the biggest surprise for Kollywood and Tollywood in 2010! If the sources are to be believed, Kollywood's young superstar Silambarasan, known for his rollicking love affairs in the past, will soon marry reigning actress Anushka. The actress is rumoured to have said ‘yes’ to Simbu recently, when he proposed her during their long drive on his X6 BMW and presented her with a solitaire ring from Tiffany’s.
The Simbu-Anushka marriage rumour started to spread after Simbu reportedly told his dear ones about the marriage during a night out at a city bar. "Anushka is a total beauty. I admire her professionalism and the grace with which she handles her personal life. Truly, I am lucky to have her. I am planning to take her to Rome or Florence for the honeymoon. She deserves the best," the actor was quoted as saying.
The actress has apparently visited Simbu’s parents and sought their blessings last week. While Simbu is planning to get his clothes done by Sidney Sladen, Anushka is now visiting all the Chennai designers to plan her trousseau and her make-up man Nikki has already started exploring ‘looks’ for her big day, it is said.
After marriage, the couple plans to set up home in Chennai and their own production house. Simbu has already indulged his ladylove in some expensive gifts, including a De Beers diamond necklace and a Mont Blanc pen. The actress has even inked a few film contracts opposite Simbu, it is said.
Shocking and surprising right? Well before you get carried away, this was just an April Fool's prank played on the internet. We though it never too late to share a good laugh right?
Stay with us for more such laughs.
