After the hit ‘Pollathavan’ the successful alliance of Vettrimaran and Dhanush are sculpting ‘Aadukalam’ to perfection. The shooting for the film is complete and post production works are on.
Meanwhile Vettrimaran wanted to reshoot some scenes and the unit is co-operating fully. ‘Aadukalam’ is set in the back drop of Madurai town and for the patch work Vettrimaran is shooting in Red Hills area of Chennai at places that matches Madurai locations.
Dhanush plays his self of a brat who refuses to budge for anything. It has romance and action as well. Noted Silankan Tamil poet Jayabalan plays the new villain in ‘Aadukalam’.
Dhanush feels this will be as different as their earlier film and started recommending the film to his friends even at this stage.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay will start the first schedule of director Siddique’s Bodyguard remake in Chennai from Thursday, April 1. The only common factor between the Malayalam and Tamil version is writer and director Siddique, who has made some minor changes in the Tamil version to suit Vijay’s image.
Vijay will play the role done by Dileep while Asin is going to do Nayanthara’s role in the Malayalam original. Thyagarajan who had a pivotal role has been replaced by Raj Kiran in the Tamil version.
National award winning music director Ouseappachan’s replacement for the Tamil version is Vidyasagar. S Kumar who was the cameraman in the Malayalam version has been replaced by ace cameraman and Vijay’s current favourite Ekambaram, who has also done the actor’s Sura.
Vadivelu gives Vijay company in the comedy dapartment along with MS Bhaskar.
There was a controversy towards the end of last year over some alleged comments made by Gautham Menon saying directors like Ameer and Sasikumar don’t treat cinema with respect and they make the kind of movies not suitable for today. How ever Gautham denied saying so and all controversies were put to rest.
Proving clean Gautham Menon has now signed Sasikumar to do a film for his home banner Photon Factory. Sasikumar will write and direct the film apart from playing the hero. Tamannah has been approached to play the heroine.
Meanwhile Gautham Menon is on a tour visiting theatres to promote ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’. After that he will go on a holiday to Switzerland with his family. All work will start as soon as he returns.

Vijay fans have something to cheer this month and this about the launch of audio of his latest movie ‘Sura’.
‘Sura’ is directed by Rajkumar and produced by Murugan Cine Arts' Sangili Murugan. It is already the buzz in the industry, as it is Vijay's 50th film. Though Vijay is the hero, the hero on March 26th would be music director Mani Sharma who is the busiest music director in both Tamil and Telugu. Mani Sharma and Vijay have worked together in many occasions before, for example ‘Shajahan’, ‘Youth’, ‘Pokkiri’, ‘Thirupachi’, etc.
All these have been super hits, and let us hope ‘Sura’ will be included in that list.
Vadivelu is taking care of the comedy in the movie and the heroine is pretty girl Tamannah. It will be an interesting sight to see her dance with the energetic Vijay.

Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay’s 50th film ‘Sura’ is in its final stages and his following 51st film is also matching the speed of ‘Sura’.
After ‘Sura’, Vijay will be doing the remake of Malayalam film ‘Bodyguard’ under the direction of Siddique. Music director is Vidyasagar and he is ready with the compositions for six songs. Pilot recording is on and the final songs will be ready soon. Yuga Bharathi has written all the songs.
The shooting for ‘Bodyguard’ remake will begin in the first week of June soon after the release of ‘Sura’. And the other important thing about the movie is Asin is returning to Kollywood with this film.

Denying rumours doing rounds about his health condition, ace comedian Goundamani said on Thursday the he was doing well. “I am very much alive and active,” the actor reacted in his typical style to the rumours, said circles close to him.
The comedian was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai a few days ago after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. Doctors attending to him said he was recovering fast and there was nothing to worry about his health.
However, some negative buzz was doing rounds on Thursday about Goudamani’s health condition. Following this, media persons and others close to the actor tried to contact his family members and close associates to know the truth.
When Goundamani came to know about this, he reportedly said, “I have no doubt that I am alive and active.” Meanwhile, the actor’s daughter Selvi too has said her father was doing well and requested not to spread any rumours.

Hi Friends, Bad News for Tamil Nadu. The Great Comedian actor Goundamani as passwed away. The death news regarding Goundamani is not confirmed till now. But the final health news about him will be updated in few hours.
Goundamani was born in Kannampalayam,a village in Coimbatore,Tamil Nadu,India. He gained entry into the Tamil film industry Kollywood due to his strong Theatrical background. His actual name is Mani but he famously portrayed the role of a Oor-Goundeer in one of his Stage plays and from then on he came to be known as Goundamani. He started acting in films at his age of 26 and until then he was doing stage shows.[citation needed]. Goundamani was initially a solo act and then paired up with Senthil to form a comedy duo. Stated as Kollywood's Laurel and Hardy, Senthil and Goundamani have entertained people with their rib-tickling slapstick humour for more than two decades now. Goundamani has entertained two generations of Tamil audience with his unique style of comedy. His dialogues are woven with sarcasm and contempt and is often accompanied with impeccable timing and body language.[citation needed]
His most famous piece of comedy is the "Vazhaipazham" (Banana) joke with Senthil in the film Karagattakaran. His famous dialogue Arasiyalla ithellam satharnamappa (meaning this is common in politics), from the movie Suriyan later became one of his trademarks. This is getting completely flummoxing for all as an abrupt shift over titles has taken place between Silambarasan and Dhanush. Few days back in time, Silambarasan was reported to have signed a film ‘Utthamaputhiran’ with director Boopathy Pandian, which was supposed to be produced by director Lingusamy under the banner name of Tirupathi Brothers. But all of sudden, we get to see that Dhanush’s next film directed by Jawahar Mithran has been titled as ‘Utthamaputhiran’. It’s worth mentioning that the film is a remake of yesteryear Telugu film ‘Ready’ with Ram and Genelia donning lead roles. The Tamil version too has Genelia performing the female lead and the shooting is fast happening over the floors.

Vijay’s much expected movie Sura audio is all set to be released on March 19. The music for the movie has been scored by Mani Sharma. As per sources a massive set has been erected at a cost of 40 lakhs in Anumondhai near Puducherry for a kuthu song featuring three Mumbai models featured along with.
Sura features Vijay and Tamannah in lead roles. The movie is being directed by S.P.Rajkumar and produced by Sangili Murugan. The movie distribution rights has been aquired by Sun Pictures.

Earlier, we have reported that the shooting of K.V. Anand's Ko is progressing in Kullu Manali. Now the latest news is that the crew is back home after finishing a four day shooting schedule at the hill station. According to sources, a breath-taking melody was shot at the beautiful locales featuring the lead actors Jiiva and Karthika. They also add that the melody tuned by Harris Jayaraj was wonderfully choreographed by Gayatri Raghuram. We also hear that the director K.V. Anand is happy with the outcome and the entire crew is expecting the song to be a chart-buster!

Actress Ranjitha who is in the limelight for the wrong reasons has apparently been unreachable on her mobile ever since the recent controversy about her appearance in a video with a Saint.
As she is currently part of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’, there were a few scenes that needed to be finished with her but her mobile is apparently not reachable. Considering the time value, Mani has decided to shoot all the scenes involving Ranjitha with another actress and complete the movie.
This means waste of money and waste of time to the producers. Earlier, rains in Kerala, ruined a huge set that was built and had to be re-erected to complete the scenes. The costs have only been adding up to the producer’s woes. Mani would just hope to finish the petty things and complete his project as soon as possible.

The title for Ajith’s 50th film seems to be the hot topic among his fans. There were reports that the film is to be titled Thuppariyum Anand, but Gautham Menon denied it. Gautham had said that it is true that he has a script titled Thuppariyum Anand but Ajith’s project is different.

When asked about his other production venture directed by K.S. Ravikumar with Kamal Haasan in the lead, he says, "Kamal sir took me to the discussion room where I was stunned by his knowledge. He is a master of all subjects. We had discussions about 10 times so far. An official announcement will be made soon."
He suggested Ajith, Vijay and Vikram's names for the lead roles. “Ajith, Vijay and Vikram will be the right choices to play the lead roles if 3 Idiots is remade in Tamil. The film will sure become a super hit here if the three come and join forces. The top actors would fit the roles well, besides adding star value to the movie,” he said.
In Thiruvananthapuram at the awards ceremony of the Baby John Foundation Actor Mohanlal presented the bravery award posthumously to martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, The award was received by Sandeep’s father K. Unnikrishnan and mother Dhanalakshmi.
Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was one of the martyrs who gave his life in fighting terrorists who attacked Mumbai city on November 26, 2008.
Sandeep’s mother told Mohanlal that Sandeep was a big fan of his and the brave heart has seen every new release of the actor. Just before the award was handed over to Sandeep’s parents, the audience lit candle lights and stood in silence for a minute in remembrance of the brave soldier.
Mohanlal gave the Baby John oration. Shibu Baby John, Vakkachen Mattathil, Aryadan Mohammad and Shaji B. John also spoke on the occasion.
After she started working opposite Mohanlal in T.K. Rajeevkumar's film ‘Oru Naal Varum’, Sameera Reddy has literally fallen in love with God’s own country. Sameera says Kerala is a breath-taking place. The greenery, the back waters and particularly the food -Appams and payaru payasam top the list and then comes puttu- Sameera loves everything Kerala.
Sameera thanks Priyadarshan for being in Mollywood. One day Priyan called her and asked her if she knows somebody called Srinivasan. After she went blank Priyan only continued and told her, well you will know him soon because you are working in a film scripted by him, it was so quick recollects Sameera.
Sameera is already a popular face in Kerala through Tamil films ‘Varanam Aayiram’ and ‘Asal’. Sameera is also cast in another Malayalam film Casanova again with Mohanlal. Tamil actor Arya also plays an important role in ‘Casanova’.
So after doing films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, will Kannada be the next touch down? May be she says. “As far as I am concerned it’s all cinema and languages don’t matter”, she says. Her mother is a Kannadiga and at least for her Sameera will sign a Kannada film in the future.

After a tough fight for acquiring the rights of the sequel of Apthamithra (Kannada version of Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi) , ‘Aptharakshaka’, producer Bellamkonda Suresh has finally chosen his hero. IndiaGlitz discovers who!
Aptharakshaka, the bumper hit movie in Kannada that is breaking all time Kannada records, will be remade in Telugu by producer Bellamkonda Suresh for his Sri Sai Productions with hero ‘Victory’ Venkatesh. Suresh added that the lead character of the movie will suit Venkatesh’s image.
P.Vasu, who made the super hit ‘Chanti’ with Venkatesh before, will remake his Kannada blockbuster in Telugu. Producer Suresh has planned to start shooting of the movie this May. He further reveals that ‘Aptharakshaka’ is a family entertainer and will suit the taste of Telugu audience. He welcomed the Vasu – Venkatesh combination after a long time and expected to be a blockbuster just like the Kannada version.

Kollywood's sensational director Shankar, promises that Yanthram (Endhiran, in Tamil) will be releasing this year. The film has been in the making for more than two years now.
As a matter of fact, only one song is understood to be canned and the film will be done with the shooting part. Writing in his blog, Shankar said, "most of the CG works are completed, another 200 complicated CG shots are yet to be completed."
Of course, there is a heavy amount of post-production works that are pending. "Final editing and back ground score is there to be done," writes an upbeat Shankar.
For that matter, sound mixing is still to be done. Being a technically high-tech film, Yanthram will take months to complete the tasks.
