Arya has signed up to do Mani Ratnam's period drama Ponniyin Selvan.
Sources close to the actor has confirmed that he met the legendary director who gave him a narration of his role and he readily agreed to do it.
Now, Mani's Ponniyin Selvan will have Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and Arya making it a multi-starrer. Mani is now looking towards Mumbai for a heroine, for this big budget historical which will start rolling from October. The actor is said to go in for an all-new look for the film.
